USABDA's name is now USA Dance. This is only a name change. The mission and goals of the organization remain the same.

The Lincoln, Nebraska chapter of USA Dance, formerly United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association (USABDA) meets for social dancing once a month. We begin each dance with a group lesson at 7:45 p.m., taught by a professional instructor. After the lesson, we dance from 8:45 till 11:00 p.m. During our dance we have dance mixers and when available a couple or group performs a spotlight dance. We would love to have you join us.

For additional information on USA Dance events and other dance activities in Nebraska see the links in the box above.

USA Dance Nebraska Youth Dance Fund

The USA Dance Lincoln Chapter, formerly United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association (USABDA), has created a fund to support ballroom dancing for youth. The mission of the fund is to financially assist students in reaching their goals in ballroom dancing. Assistance might range from subsidizing lessons for a middle school student, who is otherwise unable to afford the fees, to providing scholarship funds which enable a college student already accomplished in ballroom dancing to further their dancing skills. The Youth Dance Fund will be administered by a committee of USA Dance members with advisory members from related fields. USA Dance is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization and funds will be administered in accordance with appropriate guidelines for a non-profit organization. Help today’s youth achieve their dreams just as ballroom dancing has advanced the careers of many artists such as Rudolph Valentino, Jennifer Lopez, Vanessa Williams and Patrick Swayze.
